Job summary

Carousel Logistics is seeking a reliable Warehouse Operative for a full-time night shift at our Birmingham hub. You will move and sort freight, ensure on-time trunk departures, and follow SOPs in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires at least 3 years warehouse experience, a valid Forklift Licence with Counterbalance exposure, strong English, and teamwork. We offer 45 hours weekly, a night allowance up to £3,500, and a supportive team culture.

• A valid Forklift Licence (Counterbalance) is required.
• Good command of written English and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Move and sort freight within the warehouse.
• Ensure freight is processed to meet trunk departure times.
• Follow SOPs and maintain performance targets.
• Work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment (pump trucks, conveyors).
• Uphold Health & Safety standards and support teammates.

Are you an experienced warehouse professional looking for a stable, full-time night shift role with a growing logistics business? Carousel Logistics is looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our busy hub team.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring customer freight moves safely, efficiently, and on time through our network to meet critical delivery deadlines.

The Role

As a Warehouse Operative, Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Moving and sorting freight within the warehouse
• Ensuring freight is processed efficiently to meet trunk departure times
• Following standard operating procedures and maintaining contractual performance targets
• Working accurately and methodically in a fast-paced environment
• Checking and maintaining warehouse equipment including pump trucks and conveyors
• Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety compliance
• Supporting colleagues and contributing to smooth warehouse operations

What We’re Looking For

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need

• Minimum 3 years’ warehouse experience
• A valid Forklift Licence
• At least 3 years’ Counterbalance Forklift experience
• Ability to work at pace while maintaining accuracy
• Good understanding of written English, including numbers and instructions
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• A proactive and dependable attitude
