Job summary

Placr Recruitment is recruiting a Warehouse Operative in Shoreham. The role is Monday–Friday with a salary up to £27,500 plus bonus and overtime. The team emphasises a secure, long-term opportunity and a supportive work environment.

You will pick, pack, load, unload, operate a forklift, and manage stock in a busy warehouse. A current forklift licence and full UK driving licence are desirable.

Qualifications

• Current counterbalance forklift licence is required or desirable.
• Previous warehouse experience is preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.

Are you an experienced Warehouse Operative with a current forklift licence looking for a secure, long-term opportunity with a company that values its people?

The Role

• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Load and unload deliveries safely.
• Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and confidently.
• Move and store stock in the correct warehouse locations.
• Prepare completed orders for courier collection.
• Attach shipping labels and ensure orders are correctly despatched.
• Use the Warehouse Management System to maintain accurate stock records.
• Carry out manual handling and general warehouse duties.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure the warehouse operates smoothly.

About You

We're looking for someone who is reliable, practical and enjoys being part of a team.

You will ideally have:

• A current counterbalance forklift licence – desirable.
• Previous warehouse experience.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Good attention to detail and an accurate approach to your work.
• Confidence reading delivery notes and handling stock.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to use warehouse systems.
• A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic.
• Good communication skills.
• The ability to work independently while also being a supportive team player.
• The physical ability to carry out manual handling, lifting and warehouse duties.
