Job summary

Carousel Logistics is looking for a reliable Warehouse Operative (Counterbalance forklift) for a full-time night shift in Birmingham, UK. You will move and sort freight, ensure timely trunk departures, and follow SOPs in a fast-paced environment.

We offer £13.45 per hour, 45 hours per week, Monday–Friday 16:00–01:00, and a night allowance up to £3,500 per year, plus 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays. A supportive team environment and progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ warehouse experience.
• At least 3 years’ Counterbalance Forklift experience.
• Ability to work at pace while maintaining accuracy.
• Good understanding of written English, including numbers and instructions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• A proactive and dependable attitude.

Responsibilities

• Moving and sorting freight within the warehouse.
• Ensuring freight is processed efficiently to meet trunk departure times.
• Following standard operating procedures and maintaining contractual performance targets.
• Working accurately and methodically in a fast-paced environment.
• Checking and maintaining warehouse equipment including pump trucks and conveyors.
• Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety compliance.
• Supporting colleagues and contributing to smooth warehouse operations.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring customer freight moves safely, efficiently, and on time through our network to meet critical delivery deadlines.

The Role
