Job summary

Manpower UK is hiring for a Warehouse Operative - FLT Driver in Burton-On-Trent. The role pays £16.25 per hour on a temp contract, with Monday to Friday 00:00–08:00 shifts.

You will operate forklift trucks, move stock, load/unload, perform daily checks, and help maintain safety and 5S housekeeping, working closely with production and warehouse teams.

Applicants should hold a valid FLT licence, have prior FLT experience, and demonstrate numeracy, literacy, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Valid FLT licence; in-house training certificates accepted.
• Previous FLT experience required.
• Numeracy and literacy skills essential.
• Experience in packing or warehouse roles preferred.
• Health and safety awareness necessary.

Responsibilities

• Operate FLT to load and unload HGVs and containers safely.
• Move stock around the warehouse.
• Complete picking and put-away tasks.
• Carry out daily vehicle and safety checks.
• Use warehouse systems including scanners and EWM.
• Follow Health & Safety and site procedures at all times.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and follow 5S principles.
• Work closely with the Production and Warehouse teams.
• Support continuous improvement activities across site.

Warehouse Operative - FLT Driver

Location: Burton-On-Trent, DE14 2BG

Pay rate: £16.25 per hour

Contract: Temp

Shifts: Monday to Friday 00:00am - 08:00am

The FLT Driver will be responsible for safely operating forklift trucks to move stock, load and unload vehicles, and support warehouse operations during the shift. The role requires working safely, following warehouse procedures, and maintaining high standards of housekeeping and accuracy.

What you'll be doing:

• Operating an FLT to load and unload HGVs and shipping containers safely and efficiently.
• Move stock around the warehouse
• Complete picking and put-away tasks
• Carry out daily vehicle and safety checks
• Use warehouse systems including scanners and EWM
• Follow Health & Safety and site procedures at all times
• Maintain good housekeeping standards and follow 5S principles
• Work closely with the Production and Warehouse teams
• Support continuous improvement activities across site
