Owen Payne Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Operative with an FLT license to join our Burton-on-Trent site. The role involves safely moving stock, loading/unloading vehicles, and supporting daily warehouse operations.

You will operate FLTs, perform picking/put-away tasks, and conduct daily safety checks while maintaining high housekeeping standards and adhering to site procedures. Rotating shifts and a temp contract are included.

• FLT licence and in-house training certificates accepted.
• Previous FLT experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate an FLT to load and unload HGVs and shipping containers safely and efficiently.
• Move stock around the warehouse.
• Complete picking and put-away tasks.
• Carry out daily vehicle and safety checks.
• Use warehouse systems, including scanners and EWM.
• Follow Health & Safety and site procedures at all times.
• Maintain good housekeeping and follow 5S principles.
• Work closely with Production and Warehouse teams.
• Support continuous improvement activities across the site.

Job description

Warehouse Operative - FLT Driver
Location: Burton-On-Trent
Pay rate: £13.25 per hour
Contract: Temp
Shifts: Monday - Friday 0800-1600 and 1600-0000 (Rotating shifts)

The FLT Driver will be responsible for safely operating forklift trucks to move stock, load and unload vehicles, and support warehouse operations during the shift. The role requires working safely, following warehouse procedures, and maintaining high standards of housekeeping and accuracy.

What you'll be doing:

• Operating an FLT to load and unload HGVs and shipping containers safely and efficiently.

• Moving stock around the warehouse.

• Completing picking and put-away tasks.

• Carrying out daily vehicle and safety checks.

• Using warehouse systems, including scanners and EWM.

• Following Health & Safety and site procedures at all times.

• Maintaining good housekeeping standards and following 5S principles.

• Working closely with the Production and Warehouse teams.

• Supporting continuous improvement activities across the site.
