Job summary

Manpower UK is seeking a Warehouse Operative with FLT licence to operate forklifts and support site logistics in Burton-on-Trent. You will move stock, assist with picking, and perform daily checks while following strict safety and 5S standards.

The role involves rotating shifts (08:00–16:00 and 16:00–00:00) Monday to Friday on a temp basis. In-house training and ongoing development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Valid FLT licence required, in-house training certificates accepted.
• Previous FLT experience essential.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills to support warehouse processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate FLT to load/unload HGVs and containers safely.
• Move stock around the warehouse and support picking tasks.
• Carry out daily vehicle and safety checks.
• Use warehouse systems and scanners (EWM).
• Follow health and safety procedures and 5S principles.
• Collaborate with Production and Warehouse teams and assist continuous improvement.

Warehouse Operative - FLT Driver Location: Burton-On-Trent, DE14 2BG Pay rate: £15.43 per hour Contract: Temp Shifts: Monday - Friday 0800-1600 and 1600-0000 (Rotating shifts)

The FLT Driver will be responsible for safely operating forklift trucks to move stock, load and unload vehicles, and support warehouse operations during the shift. The role requires working safely, following warehouse procedures, and maintaining high standards of housekeeping and accuracy.

What you'll be doing:

• Operating an FLT to load and unload HGVs and shipping containers safely and efficiently.
• Move stock around the warehouse
• Complete picking and put-away tasks
• Carry out daily vehicle and safety checks
• Use warehouse systems including scanners and EWM
• Follow Health & Safety and site procedures at all times
• Maintain good housekeeping standards and follow 5S principles
• Work closely with the Production and Warehouse teams
• Support continuous improvement activities across site

What you'll bring

• Valid FLT licence - in house training certificates are accepted
