The Best Connection Tamworth is recruiting a Day Warehouse Operative to join a well-established distribution business in Tamworth. The role involves picking, stock replenishment, scanning, and loading goods, with full training on MHE including PPT and LLOP.

Hours are Tuesday to Friday, 06:00–18:00, with a Friday half-day finishing at 12:00. This is ongoing temporary work with potential for permanent employment after a trial period.

Day Warehouse Operative - Picking

Location: Tamworth
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Tuesday - Friday, 06:00 - 18:00
Contract: Ongoing temporary work with potential for permanent employment

The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting Day Warehouse Operatives to join a well-established business within the distribution industry, based in Tamworth.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with previous warehouse or picking experience who are looking for long‑term, ongoing work, with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful trial period.

Full training will be provided on Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including PPT and LLOP.

The Role

Working as part of a busy warehouse team, your responsibilities will include:

• Picking and preparing stock for dispatch.
• Putting stock away into the correct warehouse locations.
• Scanning products accurately using warehouse scanning systems.
• Checking stock and reporting any discrepancies.
• Palletising goods ready for dispatch.
• Shrink wrapping pallets and goods securely.
• Loading and preparing goods for onward distribution.
• Operating warehouse MHE, including PPT and LLOP - full training provided.
• Maintaining accurate stock locations and warehouse standards.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties as required.
• Maintaining good housekeeping and a clean, safe working environment.

Working Hours & Pay

• Tuesday - Friday
• 06:00 - 18:00
• Friday: Half day, finishing at 12:00
• £12.71 per hour
• Ongoing work with potential for permanent employment.

Requirements

Previous warehouse or picking experience is preferred, but full training will be provided to candidates with the right attitude.
