Job summary

Pertemps Telford is seeking a full-time Warehouse Operative to join a busy team. You will pick and pack orders, count stock, process goods inwards, and help unload and load deliveries. Accurate documentation and secure loads are essential, with strong health and safety practices throughout the day.

The role requires reliability, attention to detail, and a customer-service mindset in a structured logistics environment. Based in Stafford Park/Telford, good IT skills are beneficial.

Qualifications

• FLT experience preferred.
• Experience with tractor driving would be advantageous.
• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency with standard IT applications and equipment.
• Knowledge of H&S standards in manual handling, loading, unloading.
• Hard working, reliable and has an excellent understanding of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Handle order picking and packing.
• Perform stock counts and process goods inwards.
• Assist in unloading incoming goods and locating them in designated areas.
• Assist in loading outbound goods and ensure loads are secure before despatch.
• Maintain accurate records of all stock movements.
• Foster good relations with visitors and drivers; follow health and safety procedures.
• Keep work area clean, orderly and in conformance with quality/safety rules.

Reporting to the operations and logistics manager, you will handle order picking and packing, conduct stock counts, and process incoming goods. Duties include unloading deliveries, checking items, and placing them in designated storage zones. You will also assist with loading outbound vehicles, confirming loads are secure and documented accurately before despatch. Maintaining precise records of all stock movements is essential. You will foster positive relations with visitors and drivers while strictly adhering to health and safety protocols. Warehouse Operative

Our specialised client based in Stafford Park Telford is looking for a full-time permanent warehouse operative to join their busy team. You will be reporting to the operations and logistics manager and be responsible for picking and packing orders, performing stock counts, processing of goods inwards, assisting in the unloading of incoming goods. To check and locate them in designated areas also assisting in the loading of outgoing goods. Ensure loads are secure and in good condition at point of despatch, whilst keeping accurate documentation. In addition, you will maintain a good working relationship with visitors and drivers and ensure that health and safety procedures and regulations are followed, monitoring and keeping all stock movements documented, notifying management of any discrepancy immediately, as standard maintaining your work area in a clean and orderly manner in conformance to quality and safety procedures on a daily basis, ensuring all waste is removed from site in a timely manner and ensuring security of buildings, and equipment on a daily basis.
