Job summary

Hales Group Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Operative for a client in Shefford. This temporary-to-permanent role requires joining a busy warehouse team and working rotating shifts (6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm).

The candidate should have warehouse/manufacturing experience and hold valid Reach Truck and Counterbalance FLT licenses. The role may involve travel to Bedford and requires a driven, team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Reach Truck & Counterbalance FLT licenses.
• Experience in Warehouse/Manufacturing environment.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Basic IT skills.
• Full UK driving license; may travel to Bedford site.

Responsibilities

• Pick and dispatch customer orders from the warehouse.
• Process and check delivery/order sheets with attention to detail.
• Follow and adhere to Health & Safety regulations.
• Check incoming components for quantity and integrity and store them correctly.
• Load and unload lorries/vans using forklift truck.
• Perform quality inspections on finished goods before dispatch.

Job title: Warehouse Operative

Location: Shefford

Type: Temporary to Permanent

Working hours: Monday to Friday, rotating shifts (6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm)

Hourly rate: £13.45 per hour

Our highly established client based in Shefford are looking for a Warehouse Operative on a Temporary to Permanent basis. We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with Warehouse and/or Manufacturing experience, along with a Reach Truck license, to hit the ground running and work strongly within their team.

Duties as a Warehouse Operative:

• To pick and dispatch customer orders from the warehouse
• Processing and checking delivery/order sheets, where strong attention to detail is needed
• Follow and adhere to strict Health & Safety regulations
• Checking incoming components for quantity and integrity, storing them in their correct locations
• Loading and unloading lorries/vans using Forklift Truck
• Quality inspection on all finished production readied to be dispatched

What's needed as a Warehouse Operative:

• MUST have valid Reach Truck & Counterbalance FLT licenses
• Previous experience working within a Warehouse and/or Manufacturing environment
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads
• A team player with a positive attitude
• Basic IT skills
• Full UK drivers license, as you may be required to travel to their Bedford site
• Self motivated and driven
