Job summary

Randstad currently recruiting Warehouse Operatives to join the Sainsbury's team in East Grinstead. You will pick essential products in a chilled depot, with full training for Low-Level Order Pickers and Powered Pallet Trucks.

Earn weekly pay and enjoy shift-related bonuses while working a 5-out-of-7 schedule, including weekends. Overtime is paid at 1.5x, and there is potential to secure a permanent contract after 12 weeks.

Pay Rates & Rewards

Pre-12 Weeks: £13.35 / hr

Post-12 Weeks: £14.85 / hr

Overtime: Paid at 1.5x your standard rate!

Working Hours

• Shift Times: 06:00 - 14:00 and 13:30 - 21:30 (Requires flexibility across shifts).
• Schedule: Full-time hours working any 5 out of 7 days (includes weekends and Bank Holidays).
• Note: During peak seasonal periods, you may have the opportunity to pick up a 6th shift per week to maximize your earnings.

Your Day-to-Day Role

You'll play a vital part in keeping the nation fed by picking essential products (meat, dairy, juices, and beverages) in a chilled depot environment (kept between 3-5°C to preserve freshness).

• Operating picking equipment safely to build store orders accurately.
• Keeping up high quality standards so products arrive in great condition.
• No experience? No problem! Full training is provided, including how to operate Low-Level Order Pickers (LLOP) and Powered Pallet Trucks (PPT).

What We're Looking For

• Comfort in the Cold: Ready and willing to work in a chilled warehouse setting (warm layers provided!).
• Physical Fitness: Capable of comfortably lifting up to 20kg.
• Flexibility: Able to commit to 5 shifts per week, including weekend shifts.
• Communication: Good standard of spoken and written English.
• Attention to Detail: Keen eye for accuracy and quality.
