Job summary

Sainsbury's is recruiting permanent Warehouse Operatives for Crick Depot, Northampton (NN6 7SL). The role is full-time, with a 42-hour weekly pattern, and may require additional hours to meet operational needs.

You'll be part of a team responsible for accurate, timely movements of products, communicating with customers and following SOPs. PPE is provided and benefits include season ticket loan and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative.
• Experience running warehouse operations and time-critical loading/unloading.
• Experience using Powered Pallet Ride On Trucks/MHE.
• Team player with competence in PC systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out time-critical movements of products accurately.
• Communicate with internal and external customers.
• Follow standard operating procedures.
• Meet deadlines and KPIs.
• Maintain unloading/loading accuracy.
• Follow health and safety processes.
• Record temperature checks where required.
• Process customer returns and rejections.
• Work with food safety standards.
• Coordinate with Yard and Office via radio.
• Pre-planned shifts.
• Season ticket loan after 12 weeks of service and probation.
• Discount card after 4 weeks (10% off).
• Cycle to work scheme available.

We’re currently recruiting permanent Warehouse Operatives to work full time, on a – shift pattern

If you’re successful, you may be required to work additional hours to meet the needs of the operation where required.

More about you

• You have previous experience working as a Warehouse Operative
• You’ve assisted with the efficient and effective running of a warehouse operation, processing time-critical loading and unloading of supplier consignments
• You’ll ideally have experience of using Powered Pallet Ride On Trucks/MHE
• You’re great working as part of a team
• You’re competent in PC system.
