Job summary

Fresh Direct in Wigan is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our depot team. You will pick, pack and check ambient, chilled and frozen items for driver deliveries, in a busy warehouse environment.

A full induction is provided, with optional accredited training including forklift and first aid, supporting your growth within Sysco. We offer a competitive salary up to GBP 28,990 per year, plus attendance bonus and a strong benefits package, including 31 days leave and a company pension.

Qualifications

• Warehouse operative experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25kg.
• Comfortable working in a cool environment.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack and check ambient, chilled and frozen items.
• Prepare goods for driver deliveries.
• Participate in induction and optional training such as forklift and First Aid.
• Support shift flexibility and potential role advancement.

In the role of a Warehouse Operative at our Fresh Direct Wigan depot you'll pick, pack, and check the quality of ambient, chilled, and frozen food items, ready for our drivers to deliver. It starts with a full induction, but with our backing and optional accredited training that includes forklift, first aid, there's no limit to your potential. And, once you're in, there are plenty of opportunities to move shifts, move roles and move up - if that's what you want to do.

As well as an eye for detail, you'll need to be comfortable in a cool environment (we'll provide a free thermal uniform to keep you warm), be able to lift weights of up to 25kg and ideally have your own transport to get here.
