Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc is seeking a Warehouse Operative at the Avonmouth site (BS11 0YD). You will load/unload, operate MHE, and ensure accurate, safe processing of deliveries and collections in a full-time role on the 11:00–19:00 shift, with potential variations.

You’ll work Mon-Fri, with flexibility for alternate hours based on volumes. Salary is £28,582.96 per year with a company pension and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
• A valid MHE/Forklift licence is desirable.
• Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift trucks and MHE safely according to training and site procedures.
• Load and unload trailers, trunking vehicles, and dray vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Ensure products, including kegs, are handled, stored and moved correctly.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in warehouse and yard areas.
• Liaise with office staff, drivers and management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Job description

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our team at the Greene King site in Avonmouth (BS11 0YD).

In this role, you will support the safe and efficient operation of the warehouse by loading and unloading vehicles, operating MHE equipment, maintaining warehouse standards, and ensuring all deliveries and collections are processed accurately and safely.

This is a full-time, permanent role. You will be working Monday to Friday, primarily on the 11:00 to 19:00 shift. However, shift times may vary between 10:00 to 18:00 and 11:00 to 19:00, depending on customer volumes and trunking schedules. A degree of flexibility is required to meet operational needs.
