Job summary

HRGO Recruitment are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our client's busy warehouse in Uckfield, East Sussex. This is a full-time position within a friendly and supportive team, initially on a temporary basis with a view to permanent employment.

The successful candidate will handle order preparation, packing, unloading deliveries and stock checks, while maintaining a safe, clean and organised warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essential.
• Driving license and transport is required due to location.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable with excellent attendance and timekeeping.
• Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling duties.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.

Responsibilities

• Preparing customer orders for dispatch.
• Packing and wrapping goods to ensure they are securely shipped.
• Unloading incoming deliveries.
• Checking incoming stock and putting it away in the correct warehouse locations.
• Assisting with stock management and inventory organisation.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties as required.

• Pay: £12.71 p/h the hourly rate will increase to £13.33 p/h after successful completion of probation.
