Hunters Recruitment & Training Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Operative in Henfield, West Sussex. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role in a busy warehouse with regular lifting and pace. You will handle orders, operate forklift equipment, and use the warehouse IT system.

The ideal candidate has warehouse or logistics experience, a forklift licence (advantageous), and owns a car or motorbike due to rural location. Overtime and a robust bonus scheme accompany a competitive salary.

Warehouse Operative

Location: Henfield, West Sussex

Salary: £27,500 + £2,000 average annual bonus + overtime

OTE: Circa £29,500 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm

Employment Type: Temp - Perm Full-time

Start Date: ASAP

Please note: Due to the rural location, your own transport is essential as the site is not accessible by public transport.

Warehouse Operative - The Role

This is a hands-on and physically active position within a busy warehouse environment, so you will need to be comfortable working at pace & lifting stock.

• Ensure customer orders are prepared accurately
• Load and unload goods using forklift equipment
• Ensure stock is handled and stored safely
• Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Use the warehouse IT system to process and manage orders.
• Load and unload goods using forklift equipment where required.
• Ensure stock is handled and stored safely and correctly.
• Ensure customer orders are prepared accurately and on time.

Warehouse Operative - About You

The successful candidate will be reliable, hardworking and comfortable working in a busy, physically demanding warehouse environment.

You will ideally have:

• Previous warehouse or logistics experience.
• A valid forklift licence would be advantageous, but training may be available for the right candidate.
• Your own car or motorbike - essential due to the location.
• The ability to regularly lift and move goods.
• Good attention to detail and numeracy skills.
• A methodical and organised approach to work.
• The ability to work efficiently under pressure.
