The Best Connection is recruiting a Warehouse Operative for a busy print factory in Uckfield. This hands-on role suits someone reliable, organised and comfortable in a fast-paced environment, contributing to goods-in, stock control and internal logistics between warehouse and production areas.

You will handle stock receipt, checking, dispatch, and daily stock reporting, while coordinating with production to prioritise work and resolve shortages. Daily duties may vary with operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking, and booking in stock including paper, inks, and consumables.
• Managing goods-in and dispatch operations.
• Maintaining accurate stock records through daily physical counts.
• Strapping completed work and organising daily movement between factories.
• Producing a simple daily stock report, including completed stock counts and internal stock transfers.
• Daily house sheet and paper stock checks; liaising with production teams to prioritise work and resolve shortages.
• Replenishing stock to ensure uninterrupted workflow.

Warehouse Operative Wanted - Consistent Work & Weekly Pay

Location: Uckfield | Mon - Fri: 08:00 - 16:30 | (Subject to change)

Job Summary

We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Operative to support a busy print factory in Uckfield. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone reliable, organised, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment. You will play a key part in ensuring smooth goods‑in, stock control, and internal logistics between the warehouse and production areas.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Receiving, checking, and booking in stock including paper, inks, and consumables
• Managing goods‑in and dispatch operations
• Maintaining accurate stock records through daily physical counts
• Strapping completed work and organising daily movement between factories
• Producing a simple daily stock report, including:
• Completed stock counts
• Internal stock transfers (warehouse machines)
• Daily (or twice‑daily, volume‑dependent) house sheet and paper stock checks
• Liaising with production teams to prioritise work and resolve shortages
• Replenishing stock to ensure uninterrupted workflow

(Please note: duties may vary depending on operational requirements.)

Health & Safety:

• Adhere strictly to all Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Remain vigilant, alert, and aware of surrounding risks at all times

Preferable for this position but not essential:

• Access to own vehicle
