Job summary

Forth Ports is seeking a Warehouse Operative to ensure smooth movement of goods within a busy distribution setting at the Port of Tilbury. You will handle palletised products from unloading to storage, and contribute to inbound/outbound processes in a fast-paced team environment.

The role emphasizes health and safety, accuracy, and meeting operational deadlines and customer requirements. Rotation shifts include 7am–7pm and 7pm–7am on a 4-on/4-off cycle, with weekend work as required.

Qualifications

• Fork lift truck experience required.
• Previous experience in a similar role (VNA retail warehouse distribution centre) preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with customers & colleagues.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines and targets.
• Maintain high health and safety standards at all times.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Full right to work in the UK.

About the role

As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods throughout the warehouse operation. Responsible for a full range of warehousing duties, you will support the end-to-end handling of palletised products, from unloading inbound deliveries through to storage, order picking, and loading outbound vehicles.

Working as part of a fast-paced team, you will ensure all stock is handled safely, accurately, and in line with company procedures. This role requires a strong focus on health and safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently to meet operational deadlines and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
