Job summary

Forth Ports in Tilbury is seeking a Warehouse Operative to support end-to-end warehousing tasks, including unloading, storage, picking, and loading palletised products. You will work within a fast-paced team, ensuring accuracy, health and safety compliance, and timely operations.

The role requires 1+ year forklift experience, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to work to strict deadlines. Excellent communication and a strong commitment to safety are essential.

Job description

As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods throughout the warehouse operation. Responsible for a full range of warehousing duties, you will support the end-to-end handling of palletised products, from unloading inbound deliveries through to storage, order picking, and loading outbound vehicles.,

• Unloading, storing, picking and loading palletised soft drinks 24/7 for retail warehouse distribution centres
• Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Manager or Supervisors
• Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment
• Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods
• Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules and schedules
• Assisting with warehouse inventory controls, which typically involves using a hand-held scanner Working as part of a fast-paced team, you will ensure all stock is handled safely, accurately, and in line with company procedures. This role requires a strong focus on health and safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently to meet operational deadlines and customer requirements., At least 1 year Fork Lift truck experience
• Previous experience in a similar role (VNA retail warehouse distribution centre)
• Excellent communication skills
