Job summary

Riverford is seeking a Wholesale Skilled Operative to join its employee-owned wholesale operation at Lower Dean. You will support the Wholesale Site Manager in picking, packing and dispatching orders, maintaining quality and efficiency.

This is a hands-on role within a busy warehouse, with a daytime shift pattern and a 3-month secondment. You will lead by example, ensuring targets are met and customer service remains high.

Responsibilities

• Support the Wholesale Site Manager with the day-to-day running of wholesale warehouse operations.

• Motivate and support team members to achieve daily productivity and quality targets.
• Communicate effectively with other departments to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with the training, onboarding and ongoing development of new and existing team members.

Wholesale Skilled Operative

Location: Dean Court Warehouse 1, Dean Court, Lower Dean, TQ11 0LT

Salary: £14.36 per hour

Shifts: 40 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday, 6:00am to 2:30pm (3-month secondment)

About the Role

We are recruiting for a Wholesale Skilled Operative to join Riverford's thriving employee-owned wholesale operation based at Lower Dean. Working within a busy warehouse environment, you will support the Wholesale Site Manager in ensuring wholesale orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and efficiently, while helping maintain high standards of quality, productivity and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Wholesale Site Manager with the day-to-day running of wholesale warehouse operations.

About You

Essential

Desirable

• Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and stock management systems.
• Forklift certification or previous forklift experience.
• A willingness to learn and further develop operational knowledge and skills.
