Job summary

The Job People are recruiting Warehouse Operatives to join a busy distribution centre in Oldbury. You will work Monday to Friday on AM/MID/PM shifts, with a 1-hour break, and overtime may be available on weekends. This role offers weekly pay and a pathway to a permanent contract after a qualifying period.

We are looking for hardworking, motivated colleagues who can stand for long periods, lift and move pallets, and carry out general warehouse duties with a can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read & understand English.
• Able to lift and stand / walk around the warehouse for long periods.
• Willing to work AM / MID / PM shifts Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Support the operation with all duties as requested.
• Unload boxed goods from containers using a conveyor system.
• Match box codes and stack onto pallets by code.
• Wrap pallets and move with a pump truck.
• Relabel items when required.
• Order pick and pack and perform general warehouse duties.
• Some heavy lifting/physical work.
• Use PPT MHE and scanners/labeling machines.
• Move pallets and stock to various locations.
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries.

The Job People are looking for Warehouse Operatives to join a busy distribution centre in Oldbury - B70 location.

We require candidates to work AM / MID / PM Shifts across Monday to Friday

Some weekends and overtime available

Must be able to read & understand English.

Musy be able to lift and load / stand & walk around the warehosue for long periods of time.

Have a 'can-do' attitude and willing to carry out some other warehouse duties when required

Shift Hours as a Warehouse Operative:

• Monday to Friday
• 7am - 4.30pm
• Mid / PM Shift
• 12.30 - 22.00 or 13.30 - 22.00 Monday to Friday - PPT LICENCE / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED for this shift as you will be moving stock and pallets
• 1 hour break
• £12.71 per hour
• Overtime pay for Saturday & Sunday
• Weekly Pay
• Long term work
• Opportunity to go permanent after a qualifying period.

Duties as a Warehouse Operative in Oldbury:

• Support the operation fully with all duties requested
• Unload boxed goods from containers using a conveyor system
• Match box codes, in order to stack onto pallets by box code.
• Wrap pallets and move with a pump truck
• You will be required to re label items when required
• Order pick and pack - general warehouse operative duties
• Some heavy lifting / physical role
• Use PPT MHE
• This is repetitive work
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be motivated - we have a set amount of work to do each night.
• Ensuring accuracy make sure no mistakes are made.
• Moving pallets and stock to various locations
• Support with loading and unloading deliveries.
• Use of scanners and labelling machines.
• General duties as and when required.
