Job summary

The Job People are seeking Warehouse Operatives to join a busy distribution centre in Oldbury (B70). The role covers AM/MID/PM shifts on weekdays with some weekend overtime; reading English is required and physical duties include lifting, standing and walking for long periods.

The position offers weekly pay, potential for a full-time contract, and long-term employment prospects. PPT licence/experience is required for certain shifts and duties include order picking, pallet movement and stock

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand English.
• Must be able to lift, stand and walk for long periods.
• Shift pattern requires AM/MID/PM and Monday to Friday with some weekends.
• PPT licence/experience required for later shift (stock/pallet movement).
• Long term role with potential for a full-time contract.
• Self-motivated and willing to carry out other warehouse duties.

Responsibilities

• Unload boxed goods from containers using a conveyor system.
• Match box codes and stack onto pallets by code.
• Wrap pallets and move with a pump truck.
• Re-label items when required.
• Order pick and pack – general warehouse duties.
• Perform some heavy lifting and repetitive tasks.
• Use PPT MHE and scanners/labeling machines.
• Move pallets and stock to various locations and assist loading/unloading.
