Job summary

Kenect Recruitment Ltd on behalf of our client seeks an experienced Warehouse Operative to join their busy Oldbury warehouse. You will pick, pack and dispatch orders, work with an automated picking system, and use handheld scanners.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm, with full-time hours. The client provides full training on processes and a supportive team environment, with the potential for a permanent position after a successful temporary period.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
• Good computer skills and confidence using warehouse systems.
• Experience using a pump truck is essential.
• Comfortable with automated equipment and conveyors.
• Physically fit for manual handling and lifting.

Our recruitment agency is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced

Warehouse Operative to join their busy warehouse team in Oldbury.

The Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you will play an important part in the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time.

Duties Include:

• Picking and packing workwear and uniform orders.
• Using an automated robotic picking system.
• Working with warehouse computer systems and handheld scanners.
• Operating conveyor belt systems as part of the picking and packing process.
• Sorting, checking and replenishing stock.
• Loading and unloading containers.
• Shrink wrapping pallets ready for dispatch.
• Moving stock safely using a pump truck.
• Receiving and booking in deliveries.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse.
• Following all health and safety procedures.
• Working as part of a busy team to meet daily targets.

What We're Looking For

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
• Good computer skills and confidence using warehouse systems.
• Experience using a pump truck is essential.
• Comfortable working with automated warehouse equipment and conveyor belts.
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling duties.
