Job summary

Barker Ross Group is hiring a Warehouse Operative in the United Kingdom. The role involves day-to-day warehousing tasks including receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching goods while upholding safety and efficiency.

You will work 06:00 to 14:00, Monday to Friday, at an on-site location. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy goods, be detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute all core warehouse operations including goods receipt, accurate storage, order picking, retrieval, loading, and unloading of goods in line with company procedures.
• Conduct thorough checks and controls during each process to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with health & safety and operational standards.
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, checking for damage, discrepancies, or missing items, and report issues promptly to supervisors.
• Follow scanning and inventory procedures to ensure stock is recorded and tracked accurately in the warehouse management system.

Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Pay Rate: £12.71

Purpose Of the Role: To carry out day-to-day operational warehousing activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods. You'll help ensure the accurate and timely handling of shipments, supporting the smooth running of the warehouse while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute all core warehouse operations including goods receipt, accurate storage, order picking, retrieval, loading, and unloading of goods in line with company procedures.
• Conduct thorough checks and controls during each process to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with health & safety and operational standards.
