Job summary

Job Advert is seeking a Warehouse Operative in Colchester, Essex. The role is a temporary position with hours Monday to Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm, and a pay of £12.71 per hour.

The successful candidate will join a busy logistics team, performing manual handling, picking and packing, and ensuring health and safety standards are met. Experience in warehousing is preferred but not essential; the role offers long-term potential and free on-site parking.

• Able to stand for long periods and be on your feet all day.

Warehouse Operative

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a well-established company based in Colchester, Essex. This is an ongoing temporary position with potential long-term opportunities.

This role plays an important part in the day-to-day operations of a busy logistics team and requires a hands-on, adaptable approach.

Responsibilities as a Warehouse Operative:

• Loading and unloading vehicles by hand
• Accurately pick, pack and prepare customer orders using handheld scanners
• Supporting other areas of the warehouse when required
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily operational targets
• Following all health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean, safe and tidy working environment

The ideal Warehouse Operative:

• Previous warehouse or logistics distribution and supply chain experience preferred but not essential
• Comfortable with manual handling tasks and being on your feet all day
• Able to follow instructions and work independently
• Flexible and willing to learn and support different areas of the operation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
