Job summary

GXO Logistics is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative at our Jollyes site in Middlewich. This full-time, permanent role involves a 40-hour week on rotating shifts (06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00). Aiming to deliver high standards, you’ll be part of a leading logistics provider and enjoy career development opportunities.

You’ll carry out picking, packing, goods receipt and dispatch, operate Reach Truck and other MHE, while upholding safety, efficiency and teamwork in a busy warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a warehouse environment with shift work.
• Experience operating MHE: Reach Truck, Counterbalance, LLOP, PPT.
• Committed to safe, efficient warehouse practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a variety of warehouse duties including picking, packing, stock relocation, goods receipt, unloading, and dispatching.
• Operate warehouse equipment and perform manual handling tasks using MHE.
• Maintain a safe, tidy and organised warehouse, support stock control and housekeeping.
• Follow health & safety procedures and site policies in a fast-paced shift-based environment.

This is a full time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern of 06:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 22:00.

What you’ll be doing on a typical day:

• Carry out a variety of warehouse duties, including picking, packing, stock relocation, goods receipt, unloading vehicles, and dispatching products to a high standard
• Operate warehouse equipment and perform manual handling tasks, with experience using MHE, including Reach Truck, Counterbalance, LLOP, and PPT equipment
• Maintain a safe, efficient, and organised warehouse, supporting stock control, stocktaking, housekeeping, and general site maintenance activities
• Follow all health and safety procedures, company policies, and operational standards, while working effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment and shift-based role

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Experience of working within a warehouse/relevant industrial experience and shift work
• A Reach and Counterbalance Licence
• Experience of LLOP and PPT/Licence
