Job summary

Huhtamaki (UK) Limited in Gosport is seeking a warehouse operative to support order processing and loading, ensuring accurate preparation for shipments and smooth stock movements.

Qualifications

• MHE licences (Reach, Forklift, ride-on) held and valid.
• High attention to detail is essential for accurate picking and stock movements.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures and safe operation of machinery.
• Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to process orders and track stock.

Responsibilities

• Processing and loading orders – accurately handling shipments.
• Production fulfillment – preparing orders for customers and stock movements.
• Inventory control – enforcing stock location orders and production requests.
• Maintaining a safe and clean environment – keeping shelves, pallets and workstations neat.
• Providing quality service – following procedures and service expectations.

What you’ll be doing

• Processing and Loading Orders - Completing shipments by accurately processing, loading and unloading internal orders. Unloading incoming material and internal movements of material.
• Production fulfillment - Preparing orders for supplying to customer. Also internal stock movements.
• Inventory Control - Enforcing inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and production requests.
• Maintaining a Safe and Clean Environment -Keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat and organized to preserve a safe working environment.
• Providing Quality Service - Ensuring high standards by following organizational procedures and service expectations.

What you’ll bring to the role

• Valid MHE licenses Reach, Forklift, ride on powered pallet truck. All three are preferable, But must have Reach or equilivent experience.
• Strong Attention to Detail, Essential for accurately picking and production supply.
• Understanding of Health & Safety Procedures. Must follow safety protocols, especially when operating machinery and handling materials.
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Familiarity with digital inventory systems for tracking stock, processing orders, and updating shipment records.
