Job summary

GXO Logistics is recruiting Warehouse Operatives for Reading to join a fast-paced team. The role covers night shifts from 22:00 to 06:00, on a 5-out-of-7 pattern. You will pick orders in a freezer environment and use voice-picking systems to support customer orders.

The package includes an hourly rate of £13.24 plus a 33% shift premium (up to £17.61), along with holiday pay, pension, and extensive training through GXO University.

Qualifications

• Previously working in chilled/freezer warehouse environment.
• Experience in using MHE - LLOP/PPT/FLT.
• Flexibility in your approach - we do have peak seasons.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and adaptability.
• Commitment to Health & Safety and maintaining operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Our Warehouse Operatives work in the freezer and support the picking of customer orders.
• You'll operate manual handling equipment in a safe manner.
• You will utilise the warehouse management system and pick by voice equipment.
• Ensure that all health & safety practices are followed in line with company policies.
• Working towards daily productivity and performance targets.
• Maintaining high housekeeping, hygiene, and safety standards at all times.
