Job summary

INSPIRED Pet Nutrition Ltd is hiring a Warehouse/Hygiene Operative for our manufacturing site in Crick, Northamptonshire. These permanent roles are available on day or night shifts, with a 4 on/4 off pattern and 12-hour shifts.

The role offers an average of 42 hours per week with day shifts 06:00-18:00 and nights 18:00-06:00. Compensation includes a base hourly rate (£17.39 days, £18.69 nights) plus shift allowances.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in same or similar role.
• Basic knowledge of Health and Safety.
• Ability to complete tasks thoroughly.
• Understanding of basic of food safety.
• Valid FLT licence with counterbalance would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• To complete scheduled cleaning requirements to CIC'S standard.
• To maintain daily, weekly & periodic sign off records ensuring correct and accurate completion.
• To complete all hygiene operations in accordance with Health & Safety including COSHH, product safety, legality & quality requirements.
• Promote clean as you go and work to these standards daily.
• To always wear PPE correctly, hairnet, safety shoes, overalls, chemical resistant gloves, safety glasses and other PPE required.
• Understand pest awareness and report any activity to your Line Manager.
• To ensure a proactive approach is made towards Hygiene requirements and strive to be multiskilled.
• Demonstrate knowledge of all cleaning equipment and materials and maintain to an high standard.
• Ensure that a safe working environment exists for all colleagues and that as a minimum the department meets the standards set out in the safety, health and environment policy.
• Unload incoming vehicles as required and store materials following acceptance and GRN generation.
• Work safely at all times, following health and safety policies and procedures and raising any concerns through appropriate channels.
• Ensure the FLT fleet is fit for purpose by completing pre-use documentation and reporting any vehicle or plant damage according to procedure.
• Participate in training and support the development of colleagues when required, including acting as a mentor for new team members

• 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (12-hour shifts)


• This shift pattern offers predictability, extended rest periods, and the ability to plan time outside of work.


• Average of 42 hours per week


• Days: 06:00 - 18:00


• Nights: 18:00 - 06:00


• Days Hourly rate: £17.39 (£14.79 plus a shift allowance of £2.60 per hour)


• Nights Hourly rate: £18.69 (£14.79 plus a shift allowance of £3.90 per hour)

Key Responsibilities of the Warehouse/Hygiene Operative:
