Job summary

INSPIRED Pet Nutrition is seeking a Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver at our Thirsk site to ensure efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of goods. You will support production with materials, unload and rack goods, and load final products for dispatch.

The role requires strict adherence to safety policies and familiarity with GRN processes. We value reliable, numerate candidates with previous experience in a similar manufacturing role and FLT/PED/PPT experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within Manufacturing.
• FLT/PED/PPT experience desirable.
• Good literacy and numerical skills, able to understand and report clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Supply production with raw and packaging materials to maintain continuous production.
• Locate finished goods from production to Warehouse for storage until dispatch.
• Unload incoming vehicles and rack materials following acceptance and GRN generation.
• Pick and assemble loads for dispatch; load outgoing vehicles as per despatch paperwork.
• Operate safely and follow health and safety policies at all times; raise concerns as needed.
• Ensure FLT fleet is fit for purpose; complete starter documentation and report damage.

Job description

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver to join our Goods In team at our Manufacturing site in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. This is a permanent position and is working Monday - Thursday days only.

On Offer

• Salary of £13.31 per hour (£33,221 per annum)
• Contracted hours of 48 hours per week
• Monday to Thursday 06:00 - 16:00 and Friday 06:00 - 14:00
• Monthly paid - last Friday of each month.

Please note there is not public transport routes to our factory, therefore you will need your own transport!

The Role

To ensure processes are followed within the warehouse to ensure products are receipted in, stored and despatched to the agreed standards and loading plans whilst keeping our colleagues safe.

Key Responsibilities

• Supply the production departments with raw and packaging materials in order to maintain a continuous production programme
• Locate all finished goods from production areas into the Warehouse for storage until despatch
• Unload as and when required all incoming vehicles and rack away the materials following acceptance and GRN generation
• Pick and assemble loads ready for dispatch. Load outgoing vehicles with finished goods as detailed on the loading despatch paperwork
• Work in a safe manner at all times ensuring the safety of myself and colleagues. Follow health and safety policies and procedures at all times and raise any health and safety concerns through the appropriate channels
• Ensure FLT fleet is fit for purpose through completing starter documentation and reporting damage to FLTs and plant damage by following the appropriate procedure
• Undertake training and assist with the training of other colleagues when required. Act as a buddy for new colleagues and provide guidance where necessary.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• Experience in a same / similar role within Manufacturing
• FLT / PED / PPT experience is desirable
• A good standard of education; demonstrates good literacy and numerical skills, able to understand, communicate and report clearly in English
