Job summary

INSPIRED Pet Nutrition is seeking a Warehouse/Hygiene Operative for our Crick site to cover day or night shifts on a 4 on/4 off pattern. The role includes cleaning to CIC standards, hygiene operations, and maintaining records. A proactive, multiskilled approach and PPE discipline are essential for safety and quality.

FLT experience is advantageous; average weekly hours are around 42, with a focus on health and safety compliance and teamwork in a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in same or similar role.
• Basic knowledge of Health and Safety.
• Ability to complete tasks thoroughly.
• Understanding of basic of food safety.
• Valid FLT licence with counterbalance would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• To complete scheduled cleaning requirements to CIC’S standard
• To maintain daily, weekly & periodic sign off records ensuring correct and accurate completion
• To complete all hygiene operations in accordance with Health & Safety including COSHH, product safety, legality & quality requirements
• Promote clean as you go and work to these standards daily
• To always wear PPE correctly, hairnet, safety shoes, overalls, chemical resistant gloves, safety glasses and other PPE required
• Understand pest awareness and report any activity to your Line Manager
• To ensure a proactive approach is made towards Hygiene requirements and stride to be multiskilled
• Demonstrate knowledge of all cleaning equipment and materials and maintain to an high standard
• Unload incoming vehicles as required and store materials following acceptance and GRN generation
• Work safely at all times, following health and safety policies and procedures and raising any concerns through appropriate channels
• Ensure the FLT fleet is fit for purpose by completing pre‑use documentation and reporting any vehicle or plant damage according to procedure
• Participate in training and support the development of colleagues when required, including acting as a mentor for new team members

Job description

We are looking for Warehouse/Hygiene Operative to join our manufacturing site in Crick, Northamptonshire. These are permanent positions available on days or nights shift.

On Offer:

• 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (12‑hour shifts)
• This shift pattern offers predictability, extended rest periods, and the ability to plan time outside of work.
• Average of 42 hours per week
• Days: 06:00 - 18:00
• Nights: 18:00 - 06:00
• Days Hourly rate: £17.39 (£14.79 plus a shift allowance of £2.60 per hour)
• Nights Hourly rate: £18.69 (£14.79 plus a shift allowance of £3.90 per hour)

Key Responsibilities of the Warehouse/Hygiene Operative:

• To complete scheduled cleaning requirements to CIC’S standard
