Job summary

Inspired Pet Nutrition Ltd. is seeking Production Operatives for our Kinmel Bay area manufacturing site in North Wales.

You will work across Wet Processing, Wet Packing and Bakery, following production plans to deliver products to the highest quality while maintaining safety. Roles include 12-hour shifts (days and nights), 42 hours weekly, with a monthly pay schedule and a rate of £15.31 per hour including shift allowance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar manufacturing role.
• Good literacy and numeracy; clear English communication.
• Food Hygiene Accreditation desirable.

Responsibilities

• Follow production directions and ensure correct WIP packing.
• Maintain high quality in line with safety and hygiene standards.
• Adhere to Clean As You Go policy for hygiene.
• Report hourly production issues to supervisor promptly.
• Monitor machinery and escalate breakdowns to engineering as needed.
• Promote a safety-focused culture and report hazards.
• Minimise waste of materials and resources; support training of colleagues.

The Role

We are looking for Production Operatives to join our team in our Manufacturing site near Kinmel Bay, North Wales. We have opportunities available in various departments, including Wet Processing, Wet Packing and Bakery.

On Offer:

• Hourly rate of £13.31 plus £2.00 shift allowance (£15.31 ph)
• 42 hours per week average
• 24/7 shift pattern - (2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off)
• 12 hour shifts - days 06:00 - 18:00 / nights 18:00 - 06:00
• Monthly pay

The Role

The Production Operative role is to ensure processes are followed within the production to ensure products are produced in line with production plans, to the highest level of quality whilst keeping our colleagues safe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Following production directions given and ensuring that products are packed using the correct combination and volumes of WIP
• Ensuring that the highest level of quality is maintained throughout the production process, through compliance with relevant Food Safety legislation, standards and requirements
• Following the 'Clean As You Go' policy at all times, to ensure that the department is operating to the highest standards of hygiene
• Ensuring that hourly production checks are carried out, and when any issues arise, that they are reported immediately to the Area Shift Leader or the Area Manager
• Monitors the effectiveness of machinery and equipment, through overall equipment effectiveness, where there is an issue escalate through the appropriate channels e.g. reporting breakdowns to Engineering department
• Promote a people safe culture within the department, complying with policies and procedures, reporting any safety issues and plant damage through the appropriate procedures
• Minimising waste of raw materials, products, packaging, chemicals and water whilst undertaking duties within the department
• Undertake training and assist with the training of other colleagues when required. Act as a buddy for new colleagues and provide guidance where necessary.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience in a same / similar role within Manufacturing
• A good standard of education; demonstrates good literacy and numerical skills, able to understand, communicate and report clearly in English
• Food Hygiene Accreditation - desirable.
