Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor for our Birmingham operation. You will lead a team of warehouse operatives, coach colleagues, and ensure safe, accurate, and efficient movement of goods within the inbound or outbound streams.

The role operates on the afternoon shift (2pm to 10pm), five days from seven, with a salary up to £29,203 plus a monthly £243.75 shift allowance, 25 days leave, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse environment and delivering against operational targets.
• Experience coaching or supporting colleagues to achieve performance objectives.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations, safety practices and compliance requirements.
• Strong IT skills, including experience using warehouse management systems.
• IOSH Managing Safely qualification or willingness to work towards one.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support a team of warehouse operatives to achieve productivity, quality, and service targets.
• Ensure departmental compliance with health & safety procedures, company policies, and operational standards.
• Carry out quality checks and monitor performance to ensure customer requirements are consistently achieved.
• Support Shift Managers with continuous improvement initiatives and operational planning activities.
• Use warehouse management systems and operational data to drive efficiency and support service delivery.
