Job summary

Heroes, owner of the Tutti Bambini brand, is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead one of the two teams at our Milton Keynes warehouse. You’ll turn the daily plan into action on the floor, coordinate both inbound and outbound tasks, and act as the first line of escalation for the shift.

You’ll own day-to-day administration, keep WMS data accurate, manage attendance and training, and drive improvements across the operation.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or leading a team in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Comfortable working across inbound and outbound operations.
• Confident user of a WMS (OrderWise preferred) with good IT skills.
• Mechanical Handling Equipment experience is an advantage.
• Numerate and literate with strong attention to detail on paperwork and system transactions.
• Good communicator who can brief a team clearly and give feedback when needed.
• Able to work at pace, prioritise under pressure and adapt to plan changes.
• Practical, problem-solving mindset with willingness to get stuck in alongside the team.

Responsibilities

• Lead your team on shift — brief targets and priorities at the start and review performance at the end.
• Flex the team across inbound and outbound as workload changes, ensuring resources are on critical tasks.
• Be the first escalation point for operational, quality and people issues on the floor.
• Manage attendance, timekeeping and break rotation in line with policy and report absences.
• Deliver on-the-job training, buddying and cross-skilling for operation-wide capability.
• Support the Operations Manager with 1-2-1s, probation reviews and performance conversations.
• Set the standard for behaviour, pace and quality — lead by example on the floor.
• Complete shift paperwork and daily reporting; ensure WMS transactions are accurate in real time.
• Handle routine admin tasks to free up the Ops Manager for wider site planning.
• Maintain safety checks and housekeeping; report incidents and ensure safe working practices.
