Role: Warehouse Manager

Location: Essex, Rayleigh

Package: £45,000 - £50,000

Working week: Monday - Friday

Summary

Our client is a national distributor within the construction supply/trade sector. They are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager for their Rayleigh site to oversee the warehouse operations in accordance with company policies and health and safety regulations.

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of warehouse management experience.

Warehouse Manager Responsibilities

• Manage overall warehouse operations and staff
• Set shift rotas for day and night teams
• Recruit and select staff as vacancies arise
• Oversee inventory and stock control
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety standards
• Implement, enforce, and document company policies and procedures
• Set and monitor KPIs
• Assist on the warehouse floor when needed
• Communicate effectively across departments such as Transport and Sales
• Maintain high standards of site cleanliness and safety
• Conduct staff training

Experience & Skills

• At least 5 years proven experience in warehouse management
• Knowledge of HR procedures including disciplinary, capability, and absence management
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Proficient in computer skills
• Experience with computerised WMS and barcoding systems
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to lead a team autonomously
