About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse and Logistics Manager to oversee the busy stores operations of a leading manufacturing outfit in Barnsley. This is a pivotal role that requires an individual with a proven track record in managing dynamic warehouse environments, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high standards of organization and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage all aspects of warehouse and logistics operations, including stock control, dispatch, and goods-in.
2. Lead and motivate a team to ensure smooth daily operations, high productivity, and team cohesion.
3. Implement and maintain efficient processes for inventory management and order fulfilment.
4. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
5. Act as a hands-on leader, working alongside the team to set an example and address operational challenges proactively.
6. Liaise with internal departments to ensure timely delivery and receipt of materials critical to the manufacturing process.

Essential Requirements:

1. Proven experience in warehouse and logistics management, preferably within a manufacturing or similar fast-paced environment.
2. Valid FLT (Forklift Truck) license and practical experience operating FLT equipment.
3. Exceptional man-management and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and drive a team.
4. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
5. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and proficiency in basic IT applications.
