Selecta is seeking an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Leader to run 3 shifts (day, PM, night) across our UK operations. You will develop shift-based teams, ensure high standards of picking, inventory control, and dispatch while maintaining safety and compliance in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Role emphasizes hands-on leadership, continuous improvement, and effective collaboration with internal logistics teams to optimise stock movement and service levels.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a warehouse/logistics leadership role.
- Experience managing multi‑shift warehouse operations.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, WMS, and PDI processes.
- Knowledge of FMCG or high‑volume distribution environments preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead day and night warehouse teams, ensuring staffing, handovers, and performance alignment across shifts.
- Oversee picking, order fulfilment, and ensure accuracy, speed, and KPI targets.
- Uphold health & safety standards per legislation and SOPs; conduct risk assessments and promote safety culture.
- Coordinate goods in/out processes with internal logistics and inventory teams; reconcile stock and verify bin locations.
- Identify and implement process improvements; lead warehouse audits and corrective action plans.

We are seeking a hands‑on and experienced Warehouse & Logistics Leader to manage our warehousing operations across 3 shifts (day, pm and night). This role will oversee all aspects of goods in, picking, inventory movement, dispatch processes to ensure efficient, safe, and accurate warehouse operations.
You will be responsible for leading and developing shift‑based teams, ensuring high operational standards, and meeting productivity and service targets within a fast‑paced FMCG distribution environment.

- Manage and lead day and night warehouse teams, ensuring adequate staffing, handovers, and performance alignment across shifts.
- Set clear expectations for team leaders and operatives, promoting a safe, disciplined, and efficient work environment.
- Conduct performance reviews, shift briefs, and training to ensure high levels of staff engagement and capability.
- Oversee all warehouse operations to ensure accuracy, speed, and compliance with order requirements.
- Monitor KPIs such as pick accuracy, pick rate, and order dispatch timelines.
- Implement process improvements to minimise errors and increase throughput.
- Ensure all warehouse activities comply with H&S legislation, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and promote a strong safety culture across both shifts.
- Maintain accurate logs of safety incidents, near misses, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Work with internal logistics and inventory teams to ensure smooth goods in/out processes.
- Support daily reconciliation, stock rotation, and bin location accuracy.
- Escalate any discrepancies or issues in stock movement or system updates.
- Identify and implement process improvements in warehouse layout, flow, and shift efficiency.
- Lead and support warehouse audits, shift reviews, and corrective action plans.
- Brings hands‑on experience leading day and night warehouse teams, ensuring alignment, motivation, and high performance across multiple shifts.
- Demonstrates a strong track record of driving productivity in fast‑paced environments through effective picking, stock handling, and process improvements.
- Ensures all outbound goods meet customer and compliance standards through strict adherence to Pre‑Delivery Inspection processes and product quality controls.
- Quickly identifies and resolves operational issues related to inventory discrepancies, workflow bottlenecks, and system variances.
- Ensures smooth shift handovers and continuity of service through clear communication, structured reporting, and effective coordination between teams.
- 5+ years of experience in a warehouse/logistics leadership role.
- Experience managing multi‑shift warehouse operations.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, WMS, and PDI processes.
- Knowledge of FMCG or high‑volume distribution environments preferred.
- Effective leadership and team‑building skills across multiple shifts.
- Strong communication and handover management across day/night teams.
- Comfortable using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office.
