Job summary

Culina is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to lead the warehouse pick and consolidation functions, drive performance, and manage budgets and safety standards. You will work with the site team to maintain service levels and implement improvements while ensuring staff development and careful control of costs.

The role monitors daily operations, reports on performance and quality, and collaborates with customers to meet business requirements.

Qualifications

• Operational management experience in FMCG warehouse environments.
• People management experience with direct and indirect reports.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation, incident investigation and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with consolidation and loading operations in FMCG.
• Understanding of WMS systems and ability to interrogate data.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Customer relationship management experience.
• Budget and productivity management experience.
• Experience in temperature-controlled warehouse environments.
• Familiarity with quality systems such as BRC/ISO.
• Experience managing budgets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee warehouse pick and operation functions ensuring SLAs and KPIs are met while controlling costs.
• Performance-manage the team to meet targets and maintain skills and productivity.
• Collaborate with site management to resolve issues and maintain service levels.
• Manage people issues in line with company policy to promote a positive culture.
• Train staff in equipment use and maintain records for MHE/training.
• Lead investigations and support claims processes to closure.
• Monitor productivity against budgeted labour costs.
• Ensure adherence to H&S procedures for staff, visitors and contractors.
• Represent the site in internal and external meetings with customers.
• Ensure compliance with BRC/ISO requirements.
• Complete daily handover and warehouse management reports; produce performance/financial feedback.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement programs.
• Oversee onboarding of new business per customer requirements.

Life in this role

As part of our,Contract Logistics division, we have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Warehouse Operations Manager.

To manage the warehouse and operations pick team to ensure successful delivery of KPI's and business requirements. Working with the site management team to help ensure effective systems are in place to maintain optimum service levels.

To take a proactive approach to managing performance of the pick and consolidation areas, and the people, identifying areas of development and supporting in line with succession & development plans.

Working hours Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:00

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Overseeing management of the warehouse pick and operation functions, ensuring SLA's and KPI's are met and costs are controlled.
• Effective performance management of team to ensure that targets are met and to ensure that the warehouse operational team are motivated and have the relevant skills, knowledge and attitude to contribute effectively to maximise accuracy and productivity.
• Working closely with site management team to ensure that any issues are dealt with efficiently and service levels are maintained.
• Management of people, ensuring that team issues are resolved effectively, and decisions are consistent and in line with Company policy promoting a positive work culture.
• Overall responsibility for training for use of equipment of MHE and operating equipment for all employees and record keeping.
• Supporting the claims process by leading investigations and ensuring processes are followed quickly and efficiently until closure.
• Ensuring productivity and activity is measured in line with budgetary labour costs.
• Responsible for ensuring that H&S procedures are adhered to at all times including visitors and contractors.
• Playing a major role in on and off site meetings with internal and external customers to ensure business requirements are met.
• Responsibility for BRC requirements / internal quality standards of the site and ensure the operation adheres to the demands of this.
• Ensuring that daily handover reports and warehouse management reports are completed.
• Producing, analysing and providing feedback on daily, weekly and monthly reports relating to performance and finance suggesting improvements when necessary.
• Responsibility to identify, promote, support and implement continuous improvement programs
• Overseeing the implementation of new business in line with customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Operational management experience within a FMCG warehouse environment

• Consolidation and loading operations in FMCG Industry
• Understanding of WMS systems with the ability to interrogate the information
