Job summary

The Fresh Produce Centre Ltd is recruiting a Warehouse Lead Operative to oversee a designated area, manage pallet movements, unload vehicles and optimise stock within a high-volume pick-to-order environment.

You will train and coach team members, drive continuous improvement, ensure health, safety and hygiene policies are followed, and maintain efficient utilisation of labour while meeting tight deadlines. Shift pattern: 4-on-2-off, 45 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Experienced reach and counterbalance forklift operator.
• Experienced working in a 'pick to order' high volume operating environment.
• Good communications skills with good English literacy and numeracy.
• Self-motivated and work on own initiative.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
• Supervisory/leadership experience in a similar environment with ability to give clear instructions to a diverse group and get the best out of your team supporting and coaching others.
• To be adaptive and flexible to drive the continuous improvement.
• To be enthusiastic, self-confident and self-motivated.
• SAP experience (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of designated area, moving product and packaging.
• Unload vehicles and move products throughout the warehouse.
• Train and coach team members to enhance capability and tools.
• Ensure Health, Safety and Hygiene policies are communicated and followed.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with management and warehouse team.
