Job summary

TOTAL ASIA FOOD LTD is seeking a reliable Warehouse Operator / Forklift Driver in Newport to join a fast-paced team. This hands-on role covers forklift operation, stock handling, order picking and loading/unloading deliveries in a busy warehouse.

You will be organised, physically fit, safety-conscious and able to work efficiently under pressure, maintaining stock accuracy and safe storage across freezer, chilled and ambient areas.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift and pallet truck safely and efficiently to move and organise stock.
• Load and unload deliveries safely and accurately.
• Receive, check and organise incoming stock.
• Pick and prepare customer orders for delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Pack and label products correctly for dispatch.
• Organise stock within the warehouse and maintain an efficient storage system.
• Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies to management.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure stock rotation.
• Carry out morning warehouse checks and ensure orders are ready for dispatch.
• Assist with loading delivery vehicles and ensure goods are secured appropriately.
• Handle products carefully to minimise damage and maintain product quality.
• Complete general warehouse duties, including cleaning and keeping an organised area.
• Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.
• Work efficiently under pressure and meet daily deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and other departments.
• Assist with general store duties when required by management.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties to support warehouse operations.
