Job summary

The Fresh Produce Centre is seeking a Level 2 Operative to support our Warehouse Team. You will move product and packaging, unload vehicles, and ensure items are put away correctly within the packhouse and storage areas.

Responsibilities include packing movement, waste handling, and routine truck inspections. Weekend rota shifts are expected, with on-site parking and company benefits available.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role.
• Good communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience in working with a scanner system enabled environment, preferably SAP (desirable).
• Experienced reach and counterbalance forklift truck operator.
• Experienced working in a 'pick to order' high volume operating environment.
• Self motivated and work on own initiative.
• An ability to support and coach others.

Responsibilities

• Move product, packaging and other materials throughout the operation; including vehicle unloading, put away, movement to packhouse, packed product movement to consolidation/marshalling and vehicle loading.
• End-of-shift housekeeping: clear packhouse, return items to correct storage areas, empty bins, recycle, and take non-recyclable packaging to the compactor area.
• Carry out pre-shift routine and routine inspections of trucks, returning to the charging bay ready for the next day.
