Job summary

Optima Recruitment Limited is seeking a Warehouse Assistant in Leatherhead for a role that can be full-time or part-time. You will unpack goods, verify orders, complete GRNs and ensure accurate stock locations. A forklift license would be an advantage, and you will work to deadlines within a busy team.

The position offers on-site parking, 37.5 hours per week, and pay at £15.50 per hour with holiday pay and a pension. On-site duties include handling dispatches and basic warehouse tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role.
• Fork lift license would be advantageous.
• Able to work to strict deadlines and prioritise effectively.

Responsibilities

• Unpacking and inspecting goods for quality and accuracy.
• Check quantities, part numbers and descriptions against purchase orders.
• Complete Goods Received Notes (GRNs) and record items in the log book.
• Store goods in defined locations and update location records.
• Pass GRN copies to recipients promptly and assist with dispatch.
• Operate the forklift as required and assist with warehouse tasks as needed.
• Pack parts for safe transit for domestic and export orders.

Your role will be varied and involve;

• Unpacking and inspecting condition of goods.
• Checking quantities, part numbers and description are correct to purchase order.
• Completion of Goods Received Notes GRN's.
• Recording GRN entries in a manual log book
• Ensuring that Goods are stored temporarily in a defined location
• Manually update part location record cards where required
• Pass a copy of the GRN to the intended recipient in a timely manner
• Use of modular paternoster to store and pick goods
• Selecting parts listed on dispatch notes from defined store locations in accordingly, including the mechanical vertical lift.
• Manually update part location record cards where required
• Recording item serial numbers where required
• Packing parts for safe transit, both for domestic and export orders.
• Computer despatching of Goods on the DX Freight online system
• To record and file all stores records as required.
• To assist or operate the fork lift as required.
• Assist with warehouse tasks

Person Specification:

• Experience in a similar role
• Fork lift license would be an advantage
