SMT Recruitment is looking for an Assistant Warehouse Manager in Letchworth to support the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. You will work alongside the Warehouse Manager, help lead the team, and ensure orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately.

This hands-on role suits someone with warehouse supervisory or team leader experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to quality and safety standards in a BRCGS-certified facility.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse supervisory or team leader experience.
• Experience leading and motivating a team.
• Good organisational, communication and IT skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Counterbalance and Flexi forklift licences.
• Experience in packaging, manufacturing or logistics.
• Experience working within a BRCGS-certified business.

Responsibilities

• Support the Warehouse Manager with daily warehouse operations.
• Lead, motivate and support the warehouse team.
• Plan workloads to meet customer deadlines.
• Ensure stock is received, stored and dispatched accurately.
• Maintain stock accuracy and product traceability.
• Work with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse.
• Provide cover for the Warehouse Manager when required.
• Follow company procedures and BRCGS quality standards.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and hygiene.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Identify and report quality or compliance issues.

Job Title: Assistant Warehouse Manager

Salary: GBP32,000 to GBP37,000 per annum

Working Hours: Mon to Fri (7am 4pm or 8am 5pm)

About the role
