Job summary

IKEA Exeter is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our friendly team in Exeter. You will pick and prepare orders for online and in-store collection or delivery, and work with stock checks across our warehouse.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate and a 30-hour week with variety across 6 days and weekend coverage. Join us to develop your skills within a supportive in-store environment.

Qualifications

• You are comfortable using computers and handheld devices to support stock checking and answer customer questions.
• You take initiative to complete tasks efficiently.
• You have an adaptable mindset to switch between tasks and work within tight timeframes.
• You work with guidance from your manager to achieve goals within agreed timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare large volumes of orders for online and in-store collection or delivery, handing them to the customer.
• Receive stock, pick, check order accuracy, and prepare orders for delivery.
• Meet customers in-store during picking.
• Use internal systems to ensure accurate stock availability at all times.
• Ensure products are always available by completing tasks in your area promptly.
• Follow IKEA health, safety and security rules and help colleagues prevent incidents.
• Contribute to optimized daily fulfilment operations in a lean, cost-conscious way.
• Perform manual handling using safety protocols and pump trucks.
