Job summary

IKEA Southampton is recruiting Warehouse Assistants (Fulfilment Operations Co-Workers) to help keep stock moving from our vast assortment, from LACK tables to PAX wardrobes. You’ll handle heavy stock and work with forklifts, while following safety rules to protect staff and customers.

Starting 25 October 2026, roles offer 12–24 hours weekly with 3 out of 4 weekends. A range of benefits including a 15% staff discount and learning opportunities await.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to prioritise and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail.
• Ability to work with IT systems to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Compliance with health and safety guidelines and be 18+.

Responsibilities

• Manual handling of heavy stock.
• Working with or around heavy machinery such as forklifts and pump trucks.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed to maintain a secure environment for customers and co-workers.

Are you looking for a dynamic and rewarding role? We are seeking Warehouse Assistants to join various areas within our Fulfilment team in IKEA Southampton.

In IKEA we call these Fulfilment Operations Co‑Workers.

As part of our fantastic team you'll help ensure all of our products ranging from LACK Coffee Tables to PAX Wardrobes are available to meet our customers, to do this you must be comfortable with extensive manual handling.

WHAT WE OFFER

• The Start Date of employment will be the 25th October 2026
• This role offers £13.45 per hour.
• Various contract sizes and shift patterns from 12 - 24 hours per week, all working 3 out of 4 weekends - you will be asked your preference as part during your application.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential, all you will need is the enthusiasm to thrive in an active workplace.
• Ability to prioritise and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail.
• Ability to work with IT systems to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure you are prepared to initiate tasks on your own initiative and to participate productively in group efforts.
• Compliance with health and safety guidelines necessitates that applicants are 18 years of age or older.
• Be comfortable with manual handling.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• Manual handling of heavy stock.
• Working with or around heavy machinery, such as, Forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
• Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
