Job summary

Join DHL Supply Chain in Derby as a Warehouse First Line Manager, starting in 2027. Be part of a brand-new start-up operation and lead a team to meet safety, productivity, quality and service KPIs across Inbound, Returns, Pick, Pack and Outbound.

You will drive continuous improvement, coach colleagues, and foster a strong safety culture in a busy logistics environment with various shift patterns.

Qualifications

• Warehouse, logistics or distribution team leadership experience.
• Strong people management, coaching and communication skills.
• Ability to lead teams and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive problem-solver with a hands-on approach.
• Automation, FMCG or start-up operation experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support a team of warehouse colleagues to achieve safety, productivity, quality and service KPIs
• Coordinate daily operational activities across areas such as Inbound, Returns, Pick, Pack and Outbound
• Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all DHL health, safety and security standards
• Monitor team performance, provide regular feedback and support colleague development and engagement
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, performance and operational standards
