Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager to join their Goresbrook site on a full-time permanent basis. You will oversee operations to ensure safety and efficiency while meeting customer requirements.

The role focuses on leading a team, managing shifts, and delivering high service levels for major FMCG brands, with rotating 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm shifts and a culture of customer-centric service.

Qualifications

• Proven FLM or senior warehouse operative experience in a fast-paced logistics/3PL environment.
• Strong operational and people management skills.
• Experience with WMS/SAP and data accuracy.
• Ability to motivate, coach and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Act as key contact with administration, stock and management to resolve issues.
• Prepare shift handover docs and data for next shift to ensure continuity.
• Performance management of operatives using warehouse systems.
• Manage team, ensuring compliance with people processes and policy.
• Create training and forward resource plans to match capability.
• Ensure compliance with key controls, logs, and MHE pre-op checks.
• Complete all Safe & Legal requirements with monthly checks.
• Assist with weekly customer updates as required.
