Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Crewe is seeking a Warehouse Operative with FLT experience to join our team on a permanent basis. You will carry out warehouse tasks safely, load vehicles, and ensure orders are fulfilled accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Key duties include stock checks, packing for trade customers, and operating FLTs such as reach trucks and counterbalance models. You must be flexible to finish times during busy periods and be comfortable handling tobacco products.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Warehouse Operative in a logistics environment.
• Strong manual handling knowledge.
• Experience with high-volume order preparation.
• Excellent organisational skills and workload management.
• Fork Lift Trucks experience (Essential)
• MLOP and PPT experience (desirable).
• Must be flexible to finish later during busy periods (Essential)

Responsibilities

• Safely, efficiently, and accurately carry out warehouse tasks to meet customer requirements.
• Collate and check stock for transfer, load vehicles according to procedures.
• Pack mixed cases for trade customers using brand codes.
• Operate all truck electrics, PPT, pedestrian PPT, reach trucks, and counterbalance FLTs
• Participate in in-house training.
• Role includes handling tobacco products.

Job description

Warehouse Operative with FLT experience Pay Rate: £24, 784.50 per annum (Increasing to £27, 124.50 after training) Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Shift patterns: 07:00 - 15:30 Monday to Friday (Must be flexible regarding finish times, as will be required to adjust finish times during busy periods) Location: Crewe (CW1 6GH) Please note: There is a criminal record check as part of your recruitment process for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely, efficiently, and accurately carry out warehouse tasks to ensure customer requirements are consistently met.
• Collate and check stock for trade and transfer, loading vehicles accurately and in line with procedures.
• Pack mixed cases for trade customers using brand recognition and brand pack codes, ensuring cases are packed neatly and in the correct configuration.
• Operate all truck electrics, PPT, pedestrian PPT, reach trucks, and counterbalance FLT's
• Participate in in-house training as required.
• Please note, this role includes handling tobacco products.

This Role Would Suit Candidates Who Have

• Previous practical experience as a Warehouse Operative within a logistics or similar environment.
• A strong understanding of all manual handling procedures.
• Experience preparing and distributing high-volume orders.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively.
• Experience of using Fork Lift Trucks (Essential)
• MLOP and PPT experience (highly desirable).
• MUST be flexible to finish later during busy periods (ESSENTIAL)
