Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Daventry is seeking a Night Shift Flow Room Manager to lead a team of Flow Controllers in a highly automated warehouse.

You will monitor automation screens, respond to alarms, maintain shift logs, and provide data-driven reports. Collaboration with automation suppliers and ensuring smooth handovers are key parts of the role. The position offers permanent full-time hours, with night shifts 23:00–07:00, five days out of seven.

Qualifications

• Strong operational knowledge of automated logistics and warehousing.
• Willingness to work 5 days out of 7, night shift 23:00–07:00.
• Experience with automated storage, conveyors and sortation systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Flow Controllers.
• Monitor warehouse automation screens.
• Monitor alarms and escalate as needed.
• Maintain shift log detailing events, actions and follow-ups.
• Monitor plant and systems during critical operations.
• Provide trend reports and data on system performance.
• Coordinate with automation supplier for maintenance schedules.
• Ensure smooth handover to incoming control room team.
• Act as liaison between customer and site.
• Handle data retrieval and analysis for reporting.

Pay Rate: £40,118.50 + Shift Premium

Shift patterns: 5 out of 7 | 23:00 -7:00

Location: Daventry, CV23 8BQ

We are looking for a Night Shift Flow Room Manager to manage a team in an highly automated warehouse environment.

What You'll Do

• Managing a team of Flow Controllers
• Monitoring Warehouse Automation screens
• Monitoring all alarms, resolving and escalating as appropria
• Maintain a full and comprehensive log throughout the shift (to contain details of all relevant events, actions, incidents and follow up activities)
• Actively monitor the status of plant and systems during operations critical activities
• Provide reports trended and/or statistical data related to the performance of systems as required
• Work in partnership with the automation supplier to support their Planned Preventive Maintenance schedule
• Active shift handover to incoming control room team
• You will be the bridge between the customer and the site
• you will be response for all the Data retrieval and analysis

• Have strong operational knowledge of automoted logistics and warehousing ( Must have )
• Happy to work 5 days out of 7 , Night shift 23:00 -7:00
• Have a strategic mindset and a passion for problem-solving in relation to an automated warehouse system.
• You're a natural leader with excellent communication skills, able to inspire and engage your team
• Experience of working within highly automated warehouse environments
• Experence in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as JDA/Blue Yonder or Warehouse Advantage (WA)
• together with Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) including IWS and WAMAS
• Knowledge of SSI Schäfer and Vanderlande automated material handling equipment, conveyors, sortation systems and automated storage solutions is advantageous.
