GXO Logistics in Northampton is seeking five hands‑on Warehouse First Line Managers to lead a busy, high‑volume operation servicing 250+ stores.

You will coach a team of operatives, ensure safe, accurate picking and despatch, and drive shift performance in a MHE‑heavy environment.

This full‑time role offers rotating shifts (06:00–14:00) with potential 24/7 cover, a competitive salary of up to £33,850 plus extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or team leadership role in high‑volume environments.
• Able to coach, motivate and engage a team.
• Strong understanding of warehouse processes, MHE operations and safety standards.
• Confident communicator able to manage stakeholders under pressure.
• Experience with warehouse management systems and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop your team to deliver safe, accurate and efficient shift performance across inbound and outbound operations.
• Ensure all warehouse activity is completed to the required standards, supporting high‑volume case picking into cages.
• Monitor and drive performance against KPIs, taking action to manage productivity, quality and service levels.
• Support and enforce Health & Safety, compliance and standard operating procedures across your shift.
• Work closely with planning, systems and wider operational teams to resolve issues, support continuous improvement and keep the operation flowing.

Here at GXO Logistics, we’re looking for five Warehouse First Line Managers to join our new retail operation in Northampton. This is a purpose‑designed, dedicated site servicing over 250+ stores, where speed, accuracy and service are critical—and where you’ll play a key role in delivering shift performance across a high‑volume, MHE‑heavy environment. Working as part of the operational leadership team, you’ll lead, coach and develop a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring products are processed, picked and despatched efficiently, accurately and safely to meet customer requirements.

This is a full‑time, permanent position working on a rotating shift pattern (06:00 – 14:00 / Sunday–Thursday & Monday–Friday). Flexibility will be required to support a 24/7 operation when needed, this is logistics after all!

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Good understanding of warehouse processes, MHE operations and quality standards
• Confident communicator who can manage stakeholders and maintain high standards under pressure
• Digitally minded with experience using warehouse management systems and reporting tools
• A proactive, adaptable approach with a strong focus on safety, accuracy and delivery
