Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. at the Primark Thrapston site is seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager to lead a night-shift team, drive safety and performance, and model excellent frontline leadership on the warehouse floor.

Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will allocate work, manage headcount and overtime, deliver KPI results, and foster a culture of continuous improvement; a permanent full-time role with competitive pay and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in fast-paced or complex environments.
• Strong communication skills to engage and motivate teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office for reporting and planning.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities.
• Detail-oriented and professional in approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams to achieve and exceed KPIs while maintaining safety and product care.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety standards, including 6S and housekeeping.
• Allocate daily work, manage headcount and overtime, and control costs against budget.
• Drive continuous improvement by reviewing processes and eliminating waste.
• Engage colleagues on the shop floor, deliver shift handovers, and maintain reporting.

You'll be at the heart of the operation, leading by example and motivating your team to deliver exceptional results. Reporting to the Shift Manager, you'll drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement, ensuring performance targets are achieved through strong leadership and effective day-to-day management. This is a full-time, permanent position. You will work 'any 5 from 7', across our night shift, covering the hours 22:00 to 06:00. Pay, benefits and more We're looking to offer a salary of up to £36,017.17 per annum plus 30% shift premium, and 31 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays).
